Question 1

What is Unity & Utility?

Accepted Answer

Unity & Utility is a web platform that runs industrial floor operations in one place: inventory and stock moves, a tool crib, supply requests, purchase orders, freight quoting and shipment tracking, fleet and driver dispatch, insurance, finance and government schemes, a trade marketplace, payments, a photo and video live feed, and an AI operations assistant.

Question 2

Who is Unity & Utility for?

Accepted Answer

Manufacturers, machine shops, fabricators, warehouses and contractors, along with their vendors, buyers, floor members, local carriers and drivers, insurance agents, bank and lender officers and government scheme officers. It suits small and mid-sized operations currently run on spreadsheets, messaging apps and paper job cards.

Question 3

Is Unity & Utility an insurer, a bank or a freight carrier?

Accepted Answer

No. Unity & Utility is software. It connects a business to insurers, banks, lenders, government schemes and carriers, and runs the business's own inventory, tools, purchasing, shipping and payments. Cover, credit and freight are provided by the third parties listed in the platform.

Question 4

How are payments handled?

Accepted Answer

Card payments run through Stripe hosted checkout for purchase orders, freight, marketplace orders, insurance premiums, loan instalments and shareable payment links. Every payment made or received appears in the payments ledger with a downloadable PDF receipt.

Question 5

Do I need an account to use it?

Accepted Answer

Yes. The workspace is sign-in only and customer data is never publicly listed. You can create an account or use an admin invite code. The only pages viewable without signing in are a shared story or feed post and a payment link.

Question 6

What can the AI assistant do?

Accepted Answer

It produces a short morning briefing of the actions that matter, answers operational questions grounded in a live snapshot of your inventory, purchase orders, shipments, tools and payments, writes marketplace adverts and customer updates, captions uploaded photos, and reviews a freight quote comparison to recommend one service and flag odd pricing or transit times.
